Memoriesaretheessenceoflife.Theymakeuswhoweare,remindusofwherewecomefrom,andshowuswherewe'regoing.Memoriesarewhatconnectustothepastandthefuture,andtheyoftendictateourpresentactions.Butsomememoriesaremorespecialthanothers-thosethatstaywithusforever,thatdefineus,thatchangeus.Thisisastoryaboutonesuchmemory,amomentthatstaysforeverintheheartsoftwopeople.Itwasawarmsummerevening,thekindofeveningthatmakesyoufeelalive.Thesunwassettingoverthehorizon,paintingtheskywithhuesoforange,pink,andpurple.Theairwasfilledwiththesweetscentofbloomingflowers,andthesoundofchirpingbirds.Itwastheperfecteveningforawalk.Ashewalkeddownthestreet,hecouldn'thelpbutfeelasenseofnostalgia.Thiswasthestreetwherehegrewup,wherehelearnedtorideabike,wherehehadhisfirstkiss.Itwasastreetfilledwithmemories,bothgoodandbad.Buttherewasonememorythatstoodoutfromalltherest,onemomentthathewouldneverforget.
